Qui sommes nous?
Minor Mishap Marching Band est une fanfare funk cacophonique de 25 musiciens originaire d’Austin, au Texas, aux États-Unis. Depuis 14 ans, nous nous produisons dans des endroits et des manières inattendus – une flottille de 90 pieds de large sur le lac, à l’arrière de cyclo-pousse, grimpant aux arbres de notre ferme locale ou errant dans votre quartier. Nous avons participé à des défilés de Mardi Gras à la Nouvelle-Orléans et effectué deux tournées à Rio de Janeiro, au Brésil. Nous avons joué au Austin City Limits Festival, sur MTV avec Childish Gambino, l’Octoberfest de Sierra Nevada, et notre musique originale a été présentée sur Fargo, la série Netflix. La plupart de notre musique est composée par le chef d’orchestre Datri Bean et est dansante, entraînante et amusante. Minor Mishap Marching Band is a 25-piece cacophonous funk brass band from Austin, Texas, United States. For 14 years, we’ve been performing in unexpected places and ways – a 90 foot wide flotilla on the lake, in the backs of pedicabs, climbing the trees at our local farm, or wandering through your neighborhood. We’ve performed in Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, and had two tours to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We’ve played at Austin City Limits Festival, on MTV with Childish Gambino, Sierra Nevada’s national Octoberfest, and our original music was featured on the Netflix series Fargo. Most of our music composed by bandleader Datri Bean, and is danceable, upbeat, and fun. No matter where we play, our favorite thing to do is play music and joyfully connect with people.

À propos du compositeur Datri Bean
Datri Bean est le compositeur et le chef d’orchestre de Minor Mishap Marching Band. En plus de diriger ce groupe de 25 musiciens, elle joue du piano et chante dans divers autres projets, et elle a joué partout dans le monde, notamment à l’Opéra de Sydney, au Royal Festival Hall de Londres, à Conan, au WIlco’s Solid Sound Festival, à Newport Folk Festival, Royce Hall.
Datri Bean is the composer and bandleader for Minor Mishap Marching Band. In addition to leading this 25-piece band, she plays piano and sings in various other projects, and she has played all over the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall in London, Conan, WIlco’s Solid Sound Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Royce Hall, and more.
